It's Finally Fall, a Freebie, and First Grade

What is it about this time of year that makes me feel like I never get caught up?  There's just not enough hours in the day to get it all done.

If your year is starting off like mine, then here's a freebie that's ready to print and be used in your K-2 classroom. How's that for time-saving greatness?

My Apple Fact Family Matching Activity is a fun way for students to identify fact families for numbers up to 10.

There is a recording sheet included that students can use to write the fact families once they've matched them.

There are 42 apple fact cards to use with this activity.  I've also included blank cards for students to come up with more fact families!

I hope your students enjoy this activity pack.  It can be printed for individual use or printed on cardstock and laminated for your math centers.

You can find my free activity by clicking the pictures above.  Visit  Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies for more fabulous freebies offered by some amazing teachers!

Fall Sentence Sort Activity on Manic Monday with Classroom Freebies

Happy Monday once again! If you're already back to school or about to be there, I hope you're having a great year so far!

Here is a freebie that will help your students learn about sentences.  It is a fall-themed sentence sorting activity for declarative sentences and questions.

My first graders love anything they can cut and glue!  This activity will be a lot of fun for them.  I usually do a sorting activity like this as a "must do" center activity, and it works very well when I'm just beginning to teach sentences.

The activity includes two work mats for students to glue their sentences to.
